Dr. Monique Cormier is a Lecturer at the University of New England School of Law in New South Wales, Australia. Her primary research interests include jurisdiction and immunities in international criminal law and legal issues relating to extended nuclear deterrence. Monique is currently working on a monograph entitled The Jurisdiction of the International Criminal Court over Nationals of Non-States Parties(forthcoming, Cambridge University Press).

Monique has held research and teaching appointments at Melbourne Law School, and in 2015-16 was a Visiting Researcher at Harvard Law School. In addition to her academic research, Monique undertakes pro bono advisory projects for NGOs on contemporary issues of public international law. Monique has a PhD from the University of Melbourne, a Master of Laws from Columbia University, and undergraduate degrees from the University of Adelaide
